Here it is - The premier game. So which would you rather be, Tortoise or Hare? Think for a minute, there are positives and negatives for being either creature. Made your decision? Good now play by commenting. Declare your choice. Write your reasons why from your new point of view, Tortoise or Hare.

As this is the very 1st game it will be up for a wee bit longer than a week to get the ball rolling. Game 2 will be posted on Wednesday, July 8th (eastern time) and from then on a new game of Which Would You Rather Be? will appear weekly. Happy imaginations!

The Hare! I know I might lose a race to the turtle, but I prefer green veggies to slugs and worms. As a hare I could nestle in a soft warm burrow and enjoy the warmth of my bunny family. If I were a tortoise I might spend too much time in cold water, swampy mud or in the hands of a boy scout troop eager to earn a turtle study badge. And who knows where that might lead.

Thanks for the fun, Di!

Tortoise seems more practical, but I think I am less slow and steady and more sporadic and jittery. And I want the cotton tail.
Hare it is.

Hare! I have strong hindfeet to run & hop about and I love my soft bunny fur. ALthough I may wish for a hard tortoise shell when the fox is about.

I would rather be the tortoise that way I could take life at my own speed. I'd have time to enjoy all the little blessings life has to offer and see the world from a whole new perspective. I could bask in the warm summer sun and go swimming in each little pond or stream and listen to the water trickling down the rocks. I could visit with the dragon flies, the lady bugs, and hear the birds as they sing a melody. Then I could visit with the fish and see the newborns as the attend their schools learning to swim. And I could explore the depths of the water and play games with the crawdads and sneak up on the deer, fox, coyotes and other animals when they came by to take a drink. Gosh- now I really wish i was a tortoise. lol

I would rather be the hare. Not only is the hare's diet more suited for me, I want to be able to run like a jackrabit from what ever animal tries to use ME as a snack!

I think it has to be the hare. I'm way too impatient to plod along as slowly as the tortoise would have to. I'm usually full tilt ahead! My diet is more like the hare as well. I'd like to think I'm aware enough of possible predators that I'd be long gone by the time they found me. :)

Well, duh, the hare has not one but four lucky rabbit's feet!

I think I'd be the Tortoise. I am a Capricorn, meaning I think everything through before acting. I take things slow so I make a decision I've thought through carefully...yup...definitely a Tortoise :-)

Hmmm....this was thought provoking, but I think I'd rather be the tortoise. I love hares, don't get me wrong, but I don't like surprises....and with the hares instability, I think there'd just be too many of those! I would enjoy ambling along at my own pace, smelling the flowers and munching on some vegetation on the way, maybe a little nap in the sun? Sounds good!:0) Slow and steady wins the race they say...and I like to take my time, think things through...and win!
